I have lived in Logan Square for a long time so it was fun to finally get the chance to photograph at one of my favorite local bars for Katrina and Josh’s Revolution Brewing wedding. I started off the day with Katrina at a gorgeous home they had rented for their friends and family to stay at in Lincoln Park. It was just across the street from where we took portraits so it made for a stress free commute to our portrait location. It was really warm for March in Chicago so we spent a great deal of time in Lincoln Park, walking around and making sure we got some wonderful moments of the two of them.
I also had some time in the morning to photograph some beautiful details Katrina had laid out for me. Her dad passed away and she had some lovely, old photographs as well as a pair of earrings that contain fragments of her dad’s ashes. It’s always such a wonderful part of my job to get to spend such an important day with my clients and also to learn the history of all of the details that make the day special and unique.
Katrina’s mom walked her down the aisle and I was able to capture some sweet moments of the two of them.
I also love the dark wood and lighting at Revolution! It made for a very intimate feeling ceremony.
After dinner, the two had their first dance and then it was time for the party!
I also worked with a great team of people who helped make this Revolution Brewing wedding such a success!
