I love the industrial feel of the West Loop and was so excited to spend a day there for Grace and Ben’s Room 1520 wedding. The event was incredibly fun and Grace had the biggest smile across her face every time I looked at her. We started at the Public Hotel with the ladies and I had some time to get to know everyone before we left for portraits. One of the things that made the day so special was the fun vibe of the wedding party. Everyone was up for anything and we had so much fun joking around while we took photos throughout the day.
After everyone was ready, Grace and Ben shared their first look around the corner from the hotel.
After that we hopped on the trolley and headed to the West Loop to get some photographs of Grace, Ben and their wedding party! I had scouted out the area and found some wonderfully vibrant walls that we could use as backdrops.
After we finished up our portrait session, we headed to Room 1520 for the ceremony and reception. I love the large windows in Room 1520 that let so much light in. The ceremony was full of emotion and most of the guests and wedding party were in tears by the end of it.
Then it was time for the reception! Grace and Ben did a cupcake tasting which was immediately followed by their first dance and toasts.
They are both great dancers and so are their friends which made the reception a real treat to photograph.
Congrats to both of you and thanks to the amazing team that made this Room 1520 wedding possible!
