I’ve been going through some of my favorite weddings from last year and am excited to finally share some favorites from Samantha and Michael’s Glen Club wedding! I first met Samantha when she was a bridesmaid at Care & Rick’s wedding which I photographed a few years before. She was so helpful and sweet throughout the day and I immediately remembered her when she emailed me. She had one of those infectious smiles that you don’t soon forget.
I started with Samantha and her ladies at her parent’s Chicago home. I love having some extra time during the getting ready part of the day to get all of those special moments leading up to the ceremony. The home was full of great natural light and it made for a fantastic getting ready backdrop. For the wedding ceremony, we headed to Queen of All Saints Basilica on Chicago’s Northwest side. It was my first time there and I loved the small rooms on the sides of the altar where you could get some different angles of the couple.
At the Glen Club, we made our away around the property for some portraits with Samantha and Michael. It’s an expansive space with plenty of options and we hopped into some golf carts which saved us from some very long walks. The reception space at the Glen Club is beautiful and I loved the sweet moments during their first dances that we were able to capture. We ended the night with a fun portrait of them in the fog outside and also got to capture one of the funnest bouquet catches we’ve seen in awhile.
Thanks so much for having us be a part of your wedding day!
Thanks to all of the vendors that made this Glen Club wedding so great!
