Aurore and Kyle’s Wicker Park engagement session was one of my favorites from this fall. It had been rainy and cold all week and we lucked out with a beautiful Sunday full of light. I love their style and wanted to find some locations off the beaten path that would work well for them. I’m always looking to find something different than what I have seen before, especially in a neighborhood I’ve worked in so many times. Aurore was kind enough to join me to location scout and I love the variety of places we found within a small area.
When walking around we came across a small neighborhood park loving called Park No. 529. I loved the trees there and it was great to find such a natural backdrop near the overhead Blue Line tracks.
Towards the end of our shoot the sun was setting so I added some light to mimic a sunset and warm up the images. I have been obsessed with my light modifiers I recently got from Magnet Mod and they make it incredibly easy to add color and light to your photographs in no time. Yay!
I am so happy with how the photos came out from this Wicker Park engagement session! I’m looking forward to working with you both again this fall and finding some more hidden gems near your venue at The Joinery!
