Melanie and Mike’s Hideout Chicago wedding is bringing me so much joy this Monday! It’s rare that I have this much time to reflect on my past year’s work and I’m really enjoying going through each shoot and finding all of my favorite images.
I started the day with their incredibly sweet first look at the Garfield Park Conservatory. It’s one of my favorite spots to photograph and a great backup plan if you’re worried at all about the weather. They are both incredibly emotive and I loved documenting their day. Capturing so many fantastic moments made it so hard to narrow it down!
Before the ceremony, we hopped over to Metropolitan Brewery on the Chicago River for some more photos and to take a bit of time to relax and enjoy the afternoon. These are often my favorite parts of the day when there’s no pressure and everyone can just be themselves without the stress that can often accompany a wedding day.
Once we got to the venue, it was time for the ceremony and one epic dance party! If you haven’t been to the Hideout, it’s a fantastic spot nestled on Wabansia Avenue and one of my favorite places to see music. It also makes for a very fun wedding venue and I feel so lucky to have photographed several weddings there.
Here are some of my favorites from the day! Thanks so much for having me be a part of it!
Thanks to all of the vendors who made this Hideout Chicago wedding such a success!
