I could go on and on about how much I loved photographing Vanessa and Sean’s beautiful Shakespeare Garden micro wedding on Northwestern’s campus in Evanston! If you haven’t been there, it’s a stunning outdoor space nestled in a grove of trees and every angle offers another beautiful view. On top of that, despite having to […]
I just found out that I won two awards in the most recent Wedding Photojournalist Association contest! Check out all of the winners and great work over at the WPJA!
Excited to share a few favorites from Jill & Brent’s North Avenue Beach engagement session! You were both so great to work with and I’m looking forward to your wedding this weekend!
Kassie and Ron’s Westin River North wedding was such a blast to photograph! After shooting their Belmont Harbor engagement session, I knew their event would be full of laughs and fun. We started at the Westin for getting ready photos of the couple and their friends.
I was so excited for Katy and Steve’s Chicago Botanic Garden wedding. I had only been to the venue once before and loved the space and all of the beautiful areas in the gardens.
Ali and Antonio’s Garfield Park Conservatory wedding was truly a reflection of their personalities and love for one another. The event really showcased their interests, including a deep love for music and literature. It was an incredibly hot day which made it a bit of a challenge but everyone was in high sprits and we were able […]
Sitting down to chat with Care and Rick for the first time was incredibly fun. They met in the Peace Corps, were dating long distance ever since and had lots of fantastic travel stories. I was excited for their Ravenswood Event Center wedding since I had been there several times before yet never for a wedding.
Vanessa and Owen’s Kitchen Chicago wedding was such a treat to photograph. They are both travelers, Vanessa planned her wedding while doing a teaching/research position at a university in Japan, and they incorporated their love of maps and trinkets from their adventures into many of the details of their day.
When working with couples for their engagement sessions, I try to find a place that has some extra meaning to them. We had discussed several options for Charlene and Chris’s shoot but decided on doing a Ping Tom Park engagement session since that’s where Chris proposed.
Kassie and Ron were a ton of fun to photograph and I had a blast working with them for their Belmont Harbor engagement session. We had to reschedule a few times due to the weather but we finally got a nice, warm day to shoot.
