I really enjoy the look of all of the light and colors in October so I naturally love fall engagement sessions. Erin and Eric had the great idea of doing a canoe engagement session at a family lake house for their shoot which got me really excited and inspired. A large part of why I love my job is getting the opportunity to connect with different people and getting to work with clients to find a location that not only makes for great pictures but also has some extra meaning to them. We started at a campground that was down the road where Erin used to camp with her family when she was growing up. The area was gorgeous, covered with leaves and completely free of people which made it really easy to get some great photos with just the two of them.
After we finished at the camp, we headed back to the lake house where Erin and Eric spend a lot of vacation time. The lake was very calm and we got right into doing some fun activities! We did some fishing, lounging on the grass and also took a canoe out for a bit. At one point, Erin and Eric wanted to stand up in the canoe for a photo so we decided to wait until the end of the shoot, when they nearly tipped over! Luckily no one fell in the water and I captured some sweet moments of them.
We ended the shoot at sunset on the dock which made for a lovely ending photo for our shoot. Congrats you two! I’m really looking forward to working with you again in July!
