I love the energy and spontaneity of a courthouse wedding, so when Helen and John contacted me to photograph their intimate celebration, I was so excited. Both are new to Chicago and after a year of waiting for her visa, Helen arrived just a few days before the wedding! It was obvious from the minute I met them that the two were madly in love and a minute didn’t go by without one of them laughing or smiling.

I met them for breakfast at Lula Cafe and the staff was kind enough to let us walk around and take some photos throughout the restaurant. We hopped in a cab to the courthouse and spent the rest of the morning wandering around the city together. Congrats you two! Thanks for having me be a part of your special day!
