After chatting with Jennifer and Frank about location ideas, I knew a Belmont Harbor engagement session would be perfect for them. They wanted to incorporate their adorable golden retriever Colby, and Lake Michigan, so it was a great fit. 

The two met in Philadelphia several years ago and dated long distance until Jennifer moved to Chicago to be with Frank in 2014. One month later, they adopted their dog Colby and were engaged a year later.

We started our shoot off playing around with Colby and lucked out with some beautiful weather near sunset. After he was tuckered out, we headed towards the lake to get some more intimate shots of the two of them. I love Belmont Harbor as it’s not as crowded as many other spots along the lake and it allows people to get a little more comfortable in front of the camera without as many onlookers. Yay!
