Sisi and Chen’s event was my first Greenhouse Loft wedding so I was excited to finally work in their beautiful, open space. Their engagement session was so lovely and they were instantly comfortable in front of the camera (or at least convinced me!) so I knew I’d be able to capture a lot of nice emotions on their day.
I started off with Chen at their beautiful apartment with his father and best man. It’s rare that I photograph both the bride and groom while they’re getting ready and it was really nice to connect with him to start off the day.
After we were finished, I headed to the Dana Hotel to meet Sisi, her maid of honor and both mothers. I loved the light in the hotel room and it was a very emotional morning.
After everyone was ready, we arranged for the first look at the bar of the Dana Hotel. Sisi and Chen met first and then she saw her father.
For their portraits, we decided on Ping Tom Park, a tucked away spot in Chinatown with a mix of nature and industrial views.
After the portraits, we headed to the Greenhouse Loft for the wedding festivities. They had an intimate marriage certificate signing and I caught them practicing their first dance before the ceremony started.
The ceremony took place outside of the loft and included a beautiful unity ceremony where the couple wrote the Chinese character for “double joy” together.
Sisi and Chen put a lot of work into the details of their day so I wanted to make sure to capture how beautiful their Greenhouse Loft wedding looked.
Their reception was so fun and the toasts had the couple laughing hysterically for most of dinner.
Thanks so much for having me share in your celebration and to everyone who made this Greenhouse Loft wedding so great!
